Good Sitter

Natalie is so good at sitting now. She's no longer a tripod (with one hand on the floor). Watch her in Video 62 playing with her toys sitting by herself on the play mat.

Trash Mags

Also, Natalie likes reading magazines with her meals now. She especially likes the trash magazines which have colourful, glossy pages that make fun, crinkly sounds when she scrunches them.

Yesterday, Natalie had a little get together at her friends Sienna, Olivia, and Summer. See them playing and posing together below. Natalie loved all the new toys and tried to eat everything... including her friends!

Spinning, Spitting, and the Golden Piggy

See Video 61 where Natalie is spinning on her tummy while reaching for objects. She can do a 360 now (but not in the video... next time!)

Also, Natalie loves "blowing raspberries", even when drinking water from her cup. Watch and listen in Video 62. Sometimes she'll do this with a spoonful of food too and get it all over herself and her mommy!

This cutie patootie can sit up unsupported and play with her toys. But give her a few seconds and she'll topple over!

Natalie Reading

Natalie has been "reading" a book every day for the past 2 months. Now she's starting to "get" what reading is all about. Watch her reading with her Lisa Yee-yee in Video 58.

Happy 6th Month Birthday!

Today is Natalie's 6th month birthday. Wow, what a big girl! She is now 8 kg (17.6 pounds) and 67cm long, and her head is still in the 90th percentile (for her big brain). She's come a long way from her birth weight of just 3.4 kg.

For her 6 month birthday, her mommy Tracy baked a blueberry cheesecake and dedicated half of it to Natalie's birthday (the other half was to welcome her daddy Clark home from a long day at work).

Baby Christmas Party

Today was Natalie's first ever Christmas Party! Below are pics of the babies playing, sleeping (with their daddies), and Natalie's first ever photo with Santa. Natalie also gave a Christmas present to each baby (the green Santa bibs all the babies are wearing in the last 2 photos).

Video 57 is of all the mommies and daddies prepping the babies for the baby group photo. The babies are so cute! Once one baby starts crying, the other babies start to cry too... awww...

What Natalie eats

Natalie started eating "real" food 3 weeks ago and has been slowly introduced to different foods. So far, she has eaten plain rice cereal, brown rice cereal, green beans, carrots, peas, potatoes, and her current favourite, sweet potatoes. We try not to give her too many sweet foods yet (like fruits) until she has developed a taste for veggies first.

Whenever Natalie tries a new food, she makes a funny face, but after three bites, she likes it!

What mommy sees

This is what Tracy sees when slinging a sleeping Natalie around town.

Boy? No... girl!

Still getting the "Boy?" question on the streets... even in pink. Pink, people! But we can't blame them. She's just a baby and she has very little hair. See below pics where she's wearing green pants. Looks like a cute little boy until... ta da! Magic "girl" head-band (well, kind of).

This morning we found one really long hair (just one) that is about 2 inches longer than all the other hairs on her head. We tried to take a picture but it's too thin to see. Hope all her other hairs can catch up soon!

Christmas Cheer

Natalie loves to stare at our twinkling mini Christmas Tree! It mesmerizes her. But if we sit her too close, she tries to sit up to touch it (she can now push herself up into the sitting position while in her recliner).
