2015 Wrap-up Photos and Videos

As 2015 comes to an end, here are some normal-life photos and videos of funny and treasured moments from December.

Video 839 - We had a little "toddler's New Years" party in the afternoon and did a pre-count-down at 3:00 pm (ish) to ring in the new year with kids at Cafe Causette.  Lauren happily learned to blow a noise-maker with her nose.

Christmas Party at Home

On Christmas day, we had a little party with other families with sine other girls over to play.  It's a small apartment but we managed to squeeze in 11 girls all playing together for most of the day. Add in some good food, Santa steal (where no one stole anything), some treats, some Othello, some chess a bit of television, and lots of pie, and we had a really fun day with family and friends.  Merry Christmas!

Cousins time!

Thanks Lisa for taking Natalie for some cousin time on her holiday in the lead up to Christmas -- she had a great time with V & V!   We also enjoyed afternoon tea and a ballet show at the Mandarin Oriental, and dinner at Peking Garden with the blended family for Winter Solstice.  Lots of good quality time with cousins :)

Santa's Hand-writing

Hong Kong post sweetly sent replies to the girls' letters to Santa. Natalie asked: "Why is the hand-writing different?"  Because Santa has help, of course :)

Last of the YWCA classes for the term

And so our time at the YWCA comes to an end as we switch our Saturday morning's up for soccer during the Winter.  The girls had a really great time and learned a lot -- hope we can return after the winter term of soccer (and it starts getting too hot again!)

With the Lung Family - Hiking, Lunch and Jelly Beans

Earlier today we spent some great quality time with the Lung family.  We tried to hike and managed to get 100 feet up Hatton Road before turning back for rain (and studied a snail along the way). We ended up having fried rice and pizza for lunch together at the Lung apartment, followed by a round of a Jelly Bean game where a jelly bean you pick may taste good or bad (but they look the same). It's funny to watch the expressions of everyone trying to pick or eat a jelly bean -- is it a tasty one or a yucky one?  Thanks Keiks and Jason for having us and to the Lung kids for being gracious hosts, too :)
