Happy Easter! (belated)

We had a very busy and fun long Easter weekend!

On Friday we started with breakfast at the Flying Pan...

Followed by a trip to the zoo...

And ending with drinks and treats at Starbucks!

On Saturday I went with Lauren to Barney's Birthday Bash (while Natalie went to ballet camp and Ashley napped).

And on Sunday we had fun hanging around the neighbourhood in the morning. Shopping...

Before heading out to brunch with our friends (bouncy castle and magic show for the kids)!

Strawberry Cream Cake

The girls really pitched in to make a yummy-looking strawberry cream cake this morning.  Lauren and Ashley helped to buy the cream, icing sugar and strawberries in the early morning. 

While Lauren washed strawberries, Natalie sliced strawberries and Ashley ate strawberries.

Once the strawberries were done, we used a hand-blender to whip up the cream with some vanilla extract and icing sugar.

Then the girls helped to layer cream, biscuits and strawberries to create the cake.

After a quick chocolate cream drizzle, the finished product!

Big Buddha

With the girls all on Easter holiday yesterday, we decided to take a day trip out to ride the Ngong Ping cable cars and see the Big Buddha.  I'm so proud of Natalie and Lauren for climbing all the way up and down by themselves.  Thanks to Shoko yee-yee and uncle Takushi for helping!

Video 585 - Ashley is a great eater -- she loves to eat just about everything, including lots of varieties of fruit.  Here she is eating grapes, chatting with me and doing a happy grape dance.

Last Sunday, I took the girls by myself (Shoko yee-yee later came and helped) and spent the whole day at Fun Zone. They all loved it, of course.
