Lauren Brazilian Jujitsu

Summer holidays for Lauren began one week earlier than Ashley and Natalie.  We tried to enroll her in a kids' Brazilian jujitsu class and she had a great time in the class. Unfortunately, she was too young to join for the full week. Fortunately, she enrolled in Eye Level (Enopi) and has a little kick-start learning how to read instead.  See her in the first class -- we'll definitely try to enroll her when she's older!

First day of summer camp

Yesterday was the first day of summer camp!  Kids are happy and adults are happy #winwin

The older three girls are in gymnastics camp for two weeks and hopefully moving to cooking camp the week after.  Lauren and Ashley will have taekwondo camp for two weeks, and Lauren will hopefully enjoy swimming lessons the week after.  It's Ashley's first summer in camp in Toronto and she was excited to start.

Pan Am Games - Men's Handball

Happy to have witnessed a small part of the Pan Am games in Toronto this year. We watched men's handball: Canada versus Domican Republic -- and Canada won!  It was fun and a good experience for the kids to watch a live game, too.  Afterward, we indulged in authentic delicious Chinese food from China Town.

Highly suspicious individual submits to security check.

The kids excitedly ran around the game court for 2 minutes before being asked to leave.

Reptilia

On Thursday, we enjoyed a trip to Reptilia where the girls explored the world of reptiles with Gong-gong.  It's a nice little trip for everyone, including a treat before (Swiss Chalet) and a treat after (Timmies).

Video 765 - The best part?  Feeding time!

Huge snake.

"Hey, mommy look: he has a pig nose!"

Mouse-sicles.

Somebody slept through most of the tour.

After Reptilia, we enjoyed a treat at the nearby Timmies :)

The Best Thing about Summer Holidays -- Family!

The best thing about summer holidays?  Extra time with family -- we love it.  The girls spend more time together and have more time to bond, play, imagine, share and also take care of one another.
